Student Responsibilities:

SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes) Check the college bulletin board regularly for information, updates, and meeting times.
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes) Fill out third academic biographical questionnaire; ask a friend to complete peer reference forms
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Attend at least two (2) meetings with Mrs. Birtel
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Be aware of grades, strengths, and weaknesses
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Secure information about deadlines and special requirements for standardized testing
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Ask teachers for letters of recommendation
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Be aware of college fairs in the New Orleans area
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Talk with parents about their expectations, your desires, financial considerations, etc.

Parent Responsibilities:

SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Keep records of everything; phone calls, names, meetings, etc.
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Call the college counselor with any questions
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Check with your daughter periodically about college bulletins or other information distributed in the school
SO00452_.WMF (2168 bytes)   Start thinking of college visits for you and your daughter (Spring Break & Summer)

College Guidance Office Responsibilities:
