FIRST GRADE SUMMER READING LIST 2004

 

 

Dear Parents:  Entering second grade students are asked to read a required book, Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. Students reading at least four additional books this summer will participate in our Summer Reading Election event.  One of the remaining four books must be non-fiction, either a biography, poetry or fact book.  To participate in our Summer Reading Election, the students must submit her signed reading log sheets during the first week of school.  Please allow your daughter to read as independently as possible, but keep in mind that family reading is acceptable also.  The following are suggested titles; you may read additional books while visiting the Public Library and/or bookstores.
