Community Field Day
Preschool Field Day at Mater Campus
Goal 4: building of community as a Christian value
Our annual Field Day for the Primary grades was a wonderful way to build community with the Middle School and the Upper School and to start the last trimester of the school year. Both the Preschool and the Primary School Field Days were fun-filled and invigorating. Field Day allowed our students to participate in sports and unique games while exhibiting their undying school spirit. The girls had an opportunity to demonstrate all of the skills learned in P.E. class throughout the year. Primary/Preschool Field Day was celebrated at the end of the Stanford testing week. The activities for Preschool encouraged movement, team work, and cooperative play. Some of their favorite games were the parachute, the water balloon station, obstacle course, and water brigade. The Primary School grade levels demonstrated their school spirit by shouting their loud cheers and wearing their team colors of either red, yellow, green, or blue. The girls were divided into teams for the different activities: Patriots, Stars, Clowns, and Cowboys. They participated in many relay races, inflatables, dancing, and the traditional sack races. The 4th primary played an exceptional game in the annual faculty vs. 4th primary kickball game. The day ended with all slurping a delicious popsicle and taking home a beautiful Field Day ribbon to remember the day.
