Curriculum

First trimester topics include a study of the Trinity, our heritage as Children of the Sacred Heart, and an introduction to/review of the sacraments.  We learn about and celebrate the Feast of Mater Admirabilis, and the lives of the saints.

Special feast days and liturgical seasons celebrated during the second trimester include the Feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, rscj, the season of Advent, the Nativity of the Lord, and the Epiphany.

During the second semester, all students learn about Lent and Easter.

In addition to the above, throughout the year:

The first primary learns different ways to pray and explores stories from the Bible.

The second primary focuses on the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist and the mass.

The third primary reviews the sacraments with an emphasis on the mass.  They lead the lower school in prayer during our Living Rosary.

The fourth primary learns about the Ten Commandments.  They lead the lower school in our Living Way of the Cross.
