SAINTS ARE FRIENDS OF GOD
To Catholics, a saint is a person who lived a holy and virtuous life and was a model of goodness for others. "A saint is a person who has died and gone to heaven," says Rev. Terry Terkippe. "That would mean that God alone knows how many saints there are." However, official public honor in the liturgy is reserved for those whom the church has formally recognized as canonized saints."
