Field Day
Goal 4: building of community as a Christian value

Our annual Field Day is a wonderful way to start the last trimester of the school year. The Preschool and the Lower School Field Days are fun-filled and invigorating. Field Day allows our students to participate in sports and unique games while exhibiting their undying school spirit. The girls have an opportunity to demonstrate all of the skills learned in P.E. class throughout the year. Little Hearts, Preschool, and Lower School Field Days were celebrated during the second week of May. The activities for Little Hearts and Preschool encouraged movement, team work, and cooperative play. Some of their favorite games were the parachute, the obstacle course, spacewalk, and water brigade. The Lower School grade levels demonstrated their school spirit by shouting their loud cheers. The girls wore their team colors of either red, white, or blue for the morning homeroom activities and were divided into teams for the afternoon activities. They enjoyed the spacewalk, many relay races, and the annual faculty vs. 4th grade kickball game; the day ended with all slurping a delicious popsicle and taking home a beautiful Field Day ribbon to remember the day.
