PLAID Club

PLAID is an acronym for Pioneers Leading All Into Diversity. The original diversity group at Sacred Heart, this group concentrates on raising school consciousness about issues of race, ethnicity, and gender. Every March they host a "Diversity Week" where scheduled guests come to talk, dance, play music, and share heritage all in celebration of diversity. The PLAID club meets every Friday and often puts more time in than is actually scheduled. The PLAID members are determined to achieve their goals and work closely with the Duchsene Diversity Team (DDT) in order to do so.

The PLAID and Duchesne Diversity Team provide opportunities for Sacred Heart students to interact with other students from diverse and ethnic backgrounds. While PLAID hosts activities which encourage the celebration of all of the cultures of our city, the Duchesne Diversity Team seek to promote a greater understanding among people of diverse backgrounds by providing workshops on issues of diversity.
