Peer Support
Peer Support consists of approximately twenty junior and senior students who
are selected and trained by the professional counseling staff to meet in small
groups with eighth graders on a weekly basis during school time throughout the
year. They discuss issues of contemporary teen interest as they arise in the
lives of group members. Peer support leaders are chosen for their natural
inclination towards helping others. Through the training they receive,
they become peer helpers to whomever they encounter through the routine
interactions in their daily lives.
